COGNITIVE MAPPING Cognitive map can be defined as mental images and concept that is built to visualise and assimilate information. They are also referred to as mental maps, mind maps, schemata and frames of reference.  The topic selected for the study was Organising from plus two business studies.The cognitive map can help students as well as teachers grasp the material along with the links and connection. It helps students to see relationship between ideas or concept. It also helps memory recall and helped to clarify and structure ideas. It also encourages students to think creatively about the subject to a limited extent. Thus through the cognitive mapping techniques learners get a clear picture of the topic and they can identify key points of the topic easily

School Internship Phase-2 (week-7)

75 th independence day celebrations conducted by the school in wonderful manner.After the flag hoisting Indepence day rally was also conducted.In that rally students dressed up as Bharatmatha, Jawaharlal Nehru,Gandhiji, Sarojini Naidu,and Bhagat Singh.The costume selection and makeup was awesome.The whole rally kept the independence day theme"Nation First Always First"  After the next day The answer sheets distributed and congrats all who participated well in the exam and also gave a gift to the first,Second and third place holders.Then i conducted Diagnostic test to them and conducted remedial teaching to the students who felt difficulty in certain areas.          Over all it was the last week of our teaching practice session. Sixth week of teaching practice session started after a long Holidays due to heavy rainfall.Comparing previous weeks students were less in classrooms.       we made paperfiles with the appropriate instructions from teachers.That was also  a good experience for us to help teachers to do their works Our second Observation was also over in this week.In this observation teacher observed the model lesson plans.I took classes on advance Organizer model on the topic Levels of Management.I could not follow the lesson plan in the second phase.This was my first experience to teach students with model lesson plan.I felt sad that i couldn't do the class in an effective manner according to the model i prepared for the class .Teacher gave suggestions to improve my class and motivated me.   Third observation was also over.In this observation class i covered the topic internal sources of recruitment.  First dy of this week after the classes Directorate of general Education department organised a career guidance class for plus two students.In that class they provided general outline of different courses that students can select after higher Secondary Education.Also they explained scope of various courses and institutions which offers these carreers.I felt it was a very good and informative class for the students as it is an important stage to take decisions about their carreer.  Remaining days there were no classes.A holiday has been declared for educational institutions in Alappuzha district due to heavy rainfall.
